who is going to jail..the 7yr old or the mom?

...Check this out!!! A 7yr old shot and killed his cousin. For what? ...nobody knows. But both him and his mom are going down to the police stations for questioning of the illegal gun they found in her apartment. The rest of the story is sad. Read here
for yourselfs.

Who is going to take the blame for this...the child or the mom? If it was me handling the case, the mother and anybody else that lived in the residence would all be down in the jailhouse doing time. Why?...because the grown folks living there should have been more caution about leaving the gun in the kids presence. And the mother should have been more aware of what is going on in her household.

Now my condolence and prayer is going to go the the victims mom.

Another truley tragic story. I am with you hold the mother responsible. If parents are forced to be accountable for their childrens actions maybe then we will see a decline in the youth violence and drug use happening today. Its like they see it happening or know it and dont even care

i agree..the parent needs to be solely responsible for this. She needs to do time for this instead of going to parenting classes. And from reading further into the story, the mom had gang bangers living in and out the home. Having juvenile gangs hanging around the house calls for trouble.

I would definitely hold the mother responsible, but I would also talk to the seven year old about his/her actions.

what does the law say about kids under 13 shooting to kill? Will this be the same law similar to the 13 yr old young man who shot and killed the 17 yr old? ...what was his name?

The mother have to take full responsibility for what happened having an unregistered gun in the house, and in reach of children at that. I wonder how old was the cousin who was shot.

Guns are not toys and should not be left around as though they were. For all we know the kids could have been playing cops and robbers not realising that what they were playing with was real and loaded.

And these kind of parents are the first to blame society and the government for the failures of their children.
