More Guiliani Hypocrisy - Funding Pro Choice Groups
This is why I hate politicians; especially Republicans. Many of the NeoCons have been trying to repackage themselves more to the left, in hopes that they will get elected in 08 to the White House.
Rudy G, one of the biggest political frauds of our time, has tried to say that "He hates abortion", but accepts the right "to choose". Well, Politico.com has discovered that Rudy not only accepts the right to choose, but have funded the pro-abortion movement on many occasions.
I am pro-choice, and am glad to see he is a reasonable man in this regard. But to lie and try to distort who he really is is just another example of how disingenuous politicians can be.
Excerpt---
Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani in his campaign appearances this year has stated that he personally abhors abortion, even though he supports keeping a legal right to choose. But records show that in the '90s he contributed money at least six times to Planned Parenthood, one of the country's leading abortion rights groups and its top provider of abortions.

Politicians will do anything to get elected without a second thought on how it compromises their ethics and integrity. Having a personal change in outlook or political stance is okay if supported by reason, but like you said, the constant flip-flopping is tiresome and creates a climate of non-trust between politicians and citizens.
I really think that Rudy G. will not receive the nomination anyway.
I don't know if you want to comment deeply on abortion, but it is one of the most conflicting issues I have. On one hand I am religious and believe that the death penality and abortion are wrong. However, I believe that the issue is not for a man to decide. The legality of Abortion should be up to women since it is their bodies at risk. We should leave the issue up to the women of America to decide.
Lastly, there are soo many things wrong with the world right now (the war, poverty, housing affordability, environment, oil) that I think politicians need to focus on these issues first instead of the old abortion/gay marriage argument.

You got that right. And, this is especially true when it comes to our people. and includes, the infamous politician habit of hustling the inner city for votes through pimping the pulpit which is the oldest slickest tatic in the book. But, I only have to tell it like it is my Brotha.

This country is desperate for good leadership and ethics. Won't find either of those with old Rudy.

To understand this statement one has to understand "PRO-CHOICE"
It is not the same as pro-abortion!
I understand the opinion of a person who personally does not agree with abortion, but does feel that women should have the choice to decide what they want to do.
HOWEVER in his case, I think he is using the "pro-choice" argument to avoid making a decision, taking a firm position, and to avoid losing votes.
typical politican move. find the angles and move around them.

Hmmm...I know a lot of people who don't wanna be republican anymore because of the entire Bush fiasco. So they think Neo-con. is a better way to go. Seems like a Republican in sheep's clothing to me.
Anyhoo...this makes me wonder in politics which came first: the corruption or the power?

This the same man that had his girlfriend staying in the same house as his wife. public housing the mayor's resident. So why should anything he says or anything that he does surprise anyone?
