Word at the Capital is that there are alot of top Bush Cabinet officials set to step down in the coming months. Of course those that have, and those said to do so in the future have been very quiet about their reasons or motives, siting canned statements as a deferment.
Colin Powell, holding the albeit powerful and globally respected position as U.S. Secretary of Defense, will surely send shockwave through our nation as people wonder why would he do so in the middle of a so-call war on Terror. There is no one there that can hold a candle to his qualifications, and proven leadership at this position.
One can't help but wonder if he's become disenfranchised with the direction of the Bush Administration and their prosecution of the 'War on Terror'.
