What bugs me is so much focus being aimed at the shooter. He's getting way more than his 15 minutes of fame. I would like to hear more about the shooting victims for a change.

True that Ck3! We should all be focusing on what the victims are going through, not idolizing a cold blooded, crazy murderer.
The news is 99 percent Vtech Massacre right now; so I'm not watching much news on TV right now.

I'm sure there are some mentally unstable people out there watching this closely. This gunman supposedly mentioned the Columbine shooters in his manifesto.

another senseless crime. it seems they could have done something to prevent him from being allowed on campus at all. none of those instances were enough to cause great alarm, but all of them combined...seems it would set off some alarms in the administration's head. this is so sad. i feel sorry for the victims and their families.

I've had enough
Drastic measures are called for here. What I’m about to propose will sound crazy…it even sounds crazy to me…but enough is enough. Let’s put this to a vote:
Anyone who can pass tough and thorough background checks, should be allowed to carry a concealed firearm, and be allowed to do so ANYWHERE. I stress anywhere because I read that had such an ordinance been passed in Virginia, VTU would have banned carrying them on campus.
If just one of those 30 people that lunatic killed (or even just someone close by) had been carrying a concealed firearm, the damage would have been considerably less. The same can be said of every instance of this kind of evil deed. It’s like the Wild West, except only the bag guys have guns. It is ridicules that this ******* (with a known mental condition) could walk into a gun shop and legally purchase a nine millimeter hand gun. And what is even more ridicules, is that he could have obtained one even easier on the street.
It has become painfully evident, that our government is so deep in the pockets of big business, that we will never get what we want and need from them; and that is common sense leadership. I strongly believe that the corruption we see is like the proverbial iceberg, ¾ of it is out of sight.
Face it; all the thugs and crazies have guns. We have as much chance as a one legged man in an *** kicking contest. Let’s give our loved ones a fighting chance.

We all here in VA thank you for the condolences and prayers sent our way. I know some people at Tech, thank God none were injured, and your continued prayers on the wounded and the families of those senselessly killed are much appreciated.

OK, are you representing Va.Tech? I never sent any condolences 'your way' as I didn't know you were a Va. Tech student.

Nowadays, you never know. Remember during the Columbine aftermath, there were a few copycats around with too much time on their hands.
