Anna Nicole Smith Is Dead

Anna Nicole Smith has died, this according to her attorney Ron Rail. She was 39.

Desperate attempts to save her life were made by paramedics en route to Memorial Regional Hospital. Smith did not survive, despite receiving CPR and emergency intubation to facilitate her breathing.

Smith collapsed at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida and died hours later.

Anna had been transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood just after 2:00 PM EST and died around 3:45 PM EST.

WFOR-TV in Miami reports that Anna was found unresponsive in her hotel room. Local streets were closed off to rush Smith to the hospital, three miles away. Paramedics were seen pumping her chest as she was taken from the hotel.

Anna had been hospitalized for a week last November with pneumonia. Daughter Dannielynn, subject of an ongoing DNA test battle, was born on September 7. Her son Daniel died of a drug overdose on September 10. People magazine is reporting that Dannielynn is in the Bahamas.

Anna frequented the Hard Rock. Just a month ago, a playful Anna was caught showing off new body art to Hulk Hogan during a boxing match.

She was a ditzy girl but I'm sorry to hear that. She might've OD'd the night before and just couldn't deal with the death of her son Daniel three days after the birth of her daughter.

Yeah i'm thinking she was a bit stressed out. Her poor baby girl. I don't have anything ill to say about her. My prayers for the family. Very sad.

I think that it is more then OD. I wouldn't be surprised if the death is tied into the inheritence somehow.

Went to Supreme court where she won the cases but things still weren't completely resolved. She hadn't really "won" just yet. Her son died of drug complications @ 20 n' I'm sure her of the same. They said she was a frequent visitor out here (I just moved shortly outside of Hollywood) so maybe it was tied into the inheritance. They'd know where to find her if they knew her well enough.

It's crazy, my mother was just complaining yesterday about how sick she'd gotten of hearing of the woman.

What very sad news when i heard this on tv,Just recently lost a son to i don't think she never did get over his death,Maybe it drove her over the edge.

Not sure how to feel about this...her life seemed to be a maze of publicity, gossip, drug & money-addiction and loss. She was only a topic of conversation for me in relation to the fact that she married one of my fellow-alums (yes, that 100 million year-old billionaire codger she married actually attended my college WAY back in the day).
In spite of her fame (or perhaps because of it) she faced mockery and quite a bit of criticism in life. Maybe she'll have a little peace now that she's crossed over.
I pray her daughter will find some way to lead a normal life in the future (doubtful...perhaps impossible).

When I heard this on the morning news, it made me sad. I didn't, and still don't, necessarily understand why it hurt me the way that it did because I didn't really "follow" her when she was alive...this situation is sad, though.
