DBlack - I understand, methinks - with one minor difference. Those seen who're rally'n 'round the red the white and the blue covered by an all white flag - they've not gone anywhere. They changed accents "robes" and jobs. Yes young folk unknowledgeable or unaware of kkk actions may be attracted. But in the hearts of old white headz, there still lurks submerged racists thoughts, desires and historical hatred for Black & other folks.

And for those who really "believe" that the former days of open season murdering of Black folk, primarily men, are over!?! I'm scanning now a family bio that mentions the Martinsville (Virginia) 7 wherein 7 yung bruthas were executed "legally" 'cause a white woman accused them of rape. During the "trial" a group of NAACP lwyrs led by Thurgood Marshall appeal'd a Judge's sentence of death.

They "devised a legal strategy that would later become a standard in capital cases involving African-Americans. They advanced arguments, based on statistical evidence, that the state systematically discriminated against Blacks in imposing death sentences. Since Virginia had begun keeping records of executions in 1907, forty-five men had been put to death for rape, and another fourteen had been executed for attemptd rape. ALL OF THEM WERE BLACK. Aided by future Supreme Court justice Thurgood Marshall, the attorneys prepared briefs declaring that Virginia's juries routinely sentenced Black men to death for rape, while 'white men have always had immunity from such penalty.' Such a double standard, they argued, undermined 'equal and exact justice to all men of whatever race.' The attorneys were able to cite a recent case in which two white men from Richmong---police officers---had raped a Black woman and received sentences of seven (7) years. The Virginia courts and the U.S. Supreme Court denied all the Martinsville 7 appeals. The justices refused to believe that there was any systematic discrimination."

That was over 50 years ago. This morning there was an interview with some guy who's part of a protesting group that's calling for a moritorium of death sentences in Georgia where just as yesteryears the same applies today re no justice for Black men in regards to, if not death sentences, its life imprisonment sentences. Again will be seen arguments based in statistics.

Even from where i am i know that the klan dreams hopes and vision never died. They may have removed their hoods from their heads but apparently we are now wearing them back-to front(we're not seeing what is going on around us).
Xen we are still being SOLD today as i write, just check out our music artiste and sports star. Who controls them and the industry? Who makes the decision on who goes how far? Who can end a career and start one?

There was a time when we would have been lynched just for looking at a white woman's dress (hanging on a clothes line), or my favorite "reckless eyeballing" but now we are 'up under that dress' do we really understanding what is going on.. WE were raped by massa but now we say there are no go/ single black men..do we really understand what is going on???

Brother Black, you are definitely "on point" in your analysis of the continual surgence of white populace/supremist/power movements. Yes, the Klan, like a volcano is actively spurting forth--again. Most recently in the state of Tennessee.

Amerikka achieved what no other country has "followed suit" on. Amerikka, decades ago, developed an "enconomic strata," that is, what we know as the [disappearing] middle-class. The affect of this stratum has not only affected BLACK "poverty-level, working poor to middle-class," it too, permeated and affected WHITE, KLAN families as well.

The Klan is and has always been a group of extremists that utilizes violence in not wanting the "power structure" of this country to be dismantled and defeated, moreso at the plight of minorities and under-served classes.

Yes, our vision as black people is not and should not be incompent on the defeating illusions of others and how they feel that we as black people should be represented. I agree, Brother Baba.

Again--correct. For many of the civil rights issues that black people so valiantly fought for has been dismantled or under attack. And this has only served to set us back 75 years or more.
