Bush says Obama has long way to go to be president
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush said on Wednesday that Democratic Sen. Barack Obama was an impressive politician but had a "long way to go to be president," as he weighed in on the race for the White House in 2008."He hasn't gotten elected yet. He hasn't even gotten the party's nomination. He's an attractive guy. He's articulate," Bush said in an interview with Fox News.
"I've been impressed with him when I've seen him in person, but he's got a long way to go to be president," Bush added.
In the growing field of eight Democrats seeking the presidency, Obama, a first-term senator from Illinois, is polling behind New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton though his candidacy has generated buzz as he seeks to become the country's first black president as well as some Hollywood money.

That sounds like one way of Bush telling the country not to vote for him, and another way of saying that the country is not ready for him.

I agree. But as much as I hate to admit it, Obama has got virtually NO poticial experience. The republicans are doing all they can to portray Hillary as some venomous devil women that will destroy the country if she get's elected.
Borama needs to show some leadership; get some initiatives developed into laws; or even show that he can run a business.
His character is genuine, but perhaps that's because he's a freshly new politician.

why do white people love to use that word to describe black people? it is really becoming offensive to my ears...
and for those of you who have a problem with his lack of experience, i have this question: do you think he would half as bad as bush?...
...i didn't think so.

WOW, this from a man who's arguably one of the worst Presidents in history? Go figure.
George W. Bush has no crediblity right now with the American people, so anything he says will be taken with a grain of salt.

I've read reports where they are linking her to Margaret Thatcher - The Iron Lady, who will eventually bring the country down to its knees.

No, not necessarily. Perhaps I should rephrase my comment:
George W.Bush has lost all credibility with the American people.
In fact, I think his Presidency is over and done with. And I don't think there's anything he can say or do to restore credibility. Sure, Obama might be a political novice on the national stage, but at least he appears to be honest. Give me honesty over experience any day of the week.

Bush has a long way to go as well. He's an idiot who thinks he's smart and too arrogant to listen to anyone else's opinion and has a difficult time admitting that he's wrong. Obama is smarter than he will ever be although he is young and may not have that much experience. Bush is where he is because of his Daddy Bush Sr. and he played on the fears and ignorance of the American people to get re-elected. He needs to sit down and shut up because he is running this country into the ground. At this point, ANYONE could do a better job that he is right now.
