Well here I am again, before I start my rant guess I should put a qualifier or disclaimer first. Here it is as I am ranting I too am guilty of the same thing

Looking at news, things that unfold. Here now in the news the latest the character call Kramer, went off on a racial tirade. My answer is and so what. Does he affect my life, NO he doesn't I give less than a flying fart about what he says he does he thinks, in other words what the heck does it matter, I want to say some pretty strong words but because of some of the boards I will be posting this out of respect to my elders I will refrain from using curse words. We see threads about people being homosexual or lesbian, my though what the heck does it matter it does not affect me it does not affect my family it doesn't affect my people, what people choose (look at that word choose) to do is them. Do they threaten me, do they threaten my family, do the threaten my people, No so whats the big deal. I could give a flying fart. People compalin about the neo nazi or white supremist web sites, know I say I don't give a flip flop, why cause they really cannot do anything to me nor my family nor my people. We have our websites as well so why do we get mad because they have theirs. Now it's different if someone call me the nword to my face, then we may have a problem, but because Kramer or Paris Hilton etc calls us names they only revealed themselves, what good is an apology if deep down thats how you feel. I hope that I as well as others can get away from the foolish things we talk about that really don't matter. We complain about this we complain about that, we preach to the choir what are we doing to make change. As my Godmother says to me it takes work it is not passive, we cannot be complacent and expect things to change, we cannot just talk on the internet and even amonst our personal groups and expect anything to happen you know what they say talk is cheap takes money to buy land. May our Ancestors and Almighty God (Olodumare) help us to stop just talking but do the work thats needed.

This was a good rant, as it is very true. Very true indeed. It's like james always says; "live n' let live". Really simple. you don't vibe it or like it then don't deal wit' it or include it in your lifestyle. This concept is really simple yet it gives most of us trouble. N' I see it everywhere including here (mostly as a matter of fact, more so than I do in my real day to day life.). Folk don't want other folk to do them. Now my above statements refer to choices and things other folk make n' do such as homosexuality, listenin' to Rap, etc. If you don't wanna be a homo then don't. You don't like Rap then don't listen to the yit', really simple...really simple.

Now, 'bout Kramer. Yes, it was his decission to go off on our race n' start callin' us nig***'s in the crowd for whatever reason. Your sayin' it shouldn't effect us but I think the day that happens is the day these Kakalaka's run us over, n' that day aint commin'. Never. 'KRAMER' WITH JESSE ON RADIO

November 26, 2006 -- Michael Richards is scheduled to go on Rev. Jesse Jackson's syndicated Radio show to discuss the racist rant he spewed at a Los Angeles comedy club, the civil-rights leader said yesterday.

Richards' participation in the "Keep Hope Alive" program is a chance to reach out and apologize to the black community, Jackson said.

"He is embarrassed," said Jackson, who spoke to Richards by telephone last week. "I think he wants to recover from the pain he now feels and the pain he's caused others."

He called Richards' words "hateful," "sick" and "deep-seated," Jackson said his participation in the radio show would be a chance for a broader discussion about black actors, writers and directors' "cultural isolation."

"We might turn this minus into a plus," Jackson said.

Jackson said Richards apologized to him, but his "public meltdown" showed he needs psychiatric help.

Richards' publicist, Howard Rubenstein, said his client concurs.

"He has already sought and is getting psychiatric help in Los Angeles," said Rubenstein. "He agrees with Rev. Jackson on that, and he deeply regrets the terrible wound that he's inflicted on the African American community and indeed upon all of America."

Rubensteinsaid Richards is still seeking to personally talk to the black comedy-club patrons at whom he directed his vicious insults.

Richards, who has also apologized to Rev. Al Sharpton, appeared via satellite on the "Late Show with David Letterman" on Monday, where he said the tirade was fueled by anger at being heckled - not bigotry.

"I asked him, 'Why do you hate blacks? Have you been robbed or accosted or molested in some way?' " Jackson said. "He said, 'No, I can't quite explain it.' I said, 'That's why you need to talk it out.' "

Jackson's show with Richards airs at 8 a.m. today on New York's WWPR 105.1 FM.

Many thanks for the link, Sister Corals....the same link leads to actual video of Richards' rant and video of an interview with the victims of his tirade.
We have not healed the wounds of racism in this country.

This sort of madness will continue to occur repeatedly until we all participate in facing the fact that racism is vividly present in Amerikkka...I am not interested in waiting for Richards to "get real".

I am interested in moving toward genuine soul-repair for my People. Period.
