If the parents actually did their job the right way according to the bible, and the children turn out being wicked that is the fault of the children. Not the parents? Why?

Eph 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Eph 6:2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

The first commandment to a child is to obey their parents, why? Because its the responsibility of a parent to teach their children the laws of God.

Pro 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Parents are instructed to TRAIN up a child in the way he should go so that when he is old he will not depart from it. What is the way that he should go?

Psa 78:5 For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: Psa 78:6 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

Once again, if the Lord GHod gave you children then you are supposed to make SURE that your children know the laws of God. If you did EVERYTHING, and then they allow the cares of this world to pull them away from God, that was not your fault.

2Co 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Everyone is responsible for their own soul and salvation

lots op parents use the bible as an excuse for lots of things from abusing their kids to claiming it aint their fault the kids turned out wrong.....this is why no deeply religious woman will ever bear kids for me. I am about personal resposibility and thinking as opposed to following some book. Raising kids is not baking a pie...you dont just follow universal instructions that easily go outta date, aint always the best way, and dont apply for all kids.

I don't have any children of my own. I'm also older than a lot of the AC Residents so my point of reference is different. When I was growing up, your parents and everyone else on the block pretty much kept you in order. We knew every family that lived on the block. Our parents always knew who our friends were and we were not allowed to leave the block My mother was able to stay home with us for several years while my father went to work.

My mother knew what was coming into the household and would question anything that appeared to be out of place. If we brought something in, she wanted to know where it came from, who gave it to us etc.

Fast forward several years. Even in homes where there are two parents, it's not always possible for one of the parents to stay home with the children. In some cases where there is a single parent (male or female) the parent is possibly doing the best they can to make a decent/living wage while still maintaining their household.

There are females that have given birth to children at a very young age and at times have no help or guidance. There are people that will cuss you out if you see their child doing wrong and you attempt to address the situation. There are parents that think it's cute when their little darling cusses at a grown up.

Parents still are not monitoring what their children watch (movies, tv, DVD's). Parents do not know what type of games their children play, what type of music they listen to and they are not always aware of what their child(ren) check on the internet. No child should have a computer in their room. The computer should be in a common area so that the household is aware of the computer use. There is software and or download available to help you monitor computer use. Please check bookbags and check your child's room.

A parent should be a parent. Keep in mind that you are not your child's peer nor are you their contemporary. Talk to your child daily. Listen to your child. Always keep the lines of communication open. Spending quality time with your child(ren) is very important. Tell your child "I Love You" every day. If your child has emotional problems, please, please, please seek help. The life you save may be your own.

I'mma shut up now, nuff said!

To that end, they are to blame if they commit serious crimes after they have developed a sense of right and wrong. My example would be Ted Kaczynski (The Unabomber). His own brother was the one that turned him in.

sometimes its not the parents fault on how their kids turn out,its this wicked system of things and temptations out there that ruin kids lives as they get older. You cant stop your kids from being a killer,or rapist etc...if he/she lead that road of destruction, its on that child not the parent, theres alot of parents who try their best to be there and raise their kids but some kids just dont want to act right, so it takes something terrible for them to straighten up.
