Does No Father Really Make A Difference?

If The Father Is Selling Drugs, In And Out Of Jail, Consuming Alcohol, Listening To Gangsta Rap Half Of The Day, Glorifying White Women, Etc.. Then Is He Fit To Be The Father? Im Also Speaking To The Ones Who Have No Knowledge Of Self Or Racial Past, Subconsciously Thinks That White Is Right And Blacks Stay Back.
Im Not Saying That Those Fathers Shouldnt Be There But Maybe There Is Too Much Energy Wasted On The Idea.

Mothers I Would Just Concentrate On Teaching Your Kid On How To Be The Opposite Of The Kind Of Black Male Lsted. Then They Will Grow Up To Be Good Fathers.

I Agree. Point Well Taken.
The Thing Is Only The Strong Survive.
I Can Say That If I Had Neither Father Or Mother Then I Wouldnt Be Much Less Of A Person Than I Am Now.
Learning Doesnt Have To Begin With Neither One In This World Today. It Begins With You. When You Decide That You Want To Have The Discipline To Learn The True Facts Of Life And Not Accept The Lies Then You Will.

Well whats the point of having a father if he's not a good father. I dont think children need to have a fathers but i do think that they need strong male figures in their lives. When my brother were growing up my uncle frankie was that figure they went fishing and did the male thing and my brother turned out fine. Maybe its a grandfather, uncle, older cousin but a boy dont need a daddy if he has these influences around him. Good ones.

Well, if someone had all those attributes then they obviously would have issues to deal with.

But in all those reasons, I didn't see critical things like:
  • doesn't spend time with kids
  • doesn't take care of kids
  • doesn't teach kids things
  • doesn't love kids.
If you are really concerned with the role of fatherhood and how it benefits the family and children, then these aformentioned items are certainly part of this equation.

I know some high criminal dads that are great fathers. I know some dads that are uncle toms, but their kids love them to no end. And how many of us had bad parents? How many of us had perfect parents?

I grew up in a broken home (somewhat), and one thing I always valued is the presence of my mom and dad. Whether an alcoholic or not. Whether a occasional deadbeat or not. Whether uneducated or not. Everything has to first start from the love that parents show their kids. Without that, the other attributes don't matter. Without love, we can never fully realize our full purpose and potential on this earth.

And for the record; a woman cannot raise a man. If she could, God would not have created the man AND woman and the institution of marriage. She can raise a good kid, but a woman can never raise a man the way a father can. This divisive misconception is being pumped into our psyche by the feminists and faggots in this world, who wish to render the true man (black man, especially) obsolete to the family.

And as for Learning: yeah, we all should take on the personal responsibility to learn, adapt and grow. But our parents and upbringing are so instrumental in getting us on the right path. The time our parents spend with us, the kind of time they spend with us, helps form our attitudes, perceptions, and approaches to learning new things. It's been proven over and over again, the importance of environmental conditions on learning and behavior. To grow up without parents can be more damaging than to have bad parents. "How bad?" is the million dollar question here.

How does the ole saying go..."anyone can be a father but it takes a real man to be a dad." Every kid has a father but not every kid has a dad. Dads should be the focus for every child to have not just a father. Someone, as Dblack stated, that is there for them, spends time with them, teaches them how to develop into a positive member or society.

I gotta agree with dBlack.....presence of a father is important for sure. There is definitely a point a which he is better off out the kids life....like hard core crime around the family, heavy drugs, beating the kids and/or wife. But for the other things like irresponsibility and what kinda music the father listens to ....that is irrelivant....otherwize half the parents in North America would be "unfit".

I think it is a messed up attitude that black fathers are not needed. Black women with kids who got their bundles of joy often state this.....they like being mommies but not working with a man together as parents. Makes me wonder how many get with a man to get pregnant then call him irresponsible and all sorts of other things that they shoulda known about him before letting him hit it raw.

Anyways.....if we as black people put low expectation and value on black fathers, so will everyone else. No one is perfect and if mothers were scritinized and under the microscope as much, you would find they are overall no better than men for how they act when around the kid.....so if a father is in the kids life, they should not be considered anymore expendible than the mother until proven otherwize.

Half Of The Parents Are Indeed Unfit To Be Parents. I Say This Not To Say A Kid Is Better Off Not Having Adult Presense In Their Life But What I Mean Is Black Adults Need To Change In Order To Become Fit Parents.
Parents Are Basically Learning From White America So The Kids Are Learning The Same Thing.
And The Type Of Music You Listen To Does Play A Role If The Music Has A Negative Energy. Thats Why Everything Else Plays A Role Too. The Books You Read, People You Hang Around, Tv Shows You Watch, Etc. Its Never One Thing That People Are Usually Judged By But A Combination Of Things.
But If The One Thing Fills Up The Bag Then So Be It.

I examine your words and in my opinion, it is the responsibility of individuals that ARE enlightened, or self-actualized if you will in "conscious-raising" trying to inform/teach/guide others. For the individuals that DO have knowledge of self--these individuals, in my opinion, arer just another form of the, "Talented Tenth."
