Cut Off Age For Boys Using Ladies Room
What would you consider a decent cut off age for allowing boys to use the Ladies Room? My grand nephew will be 7 years old in September and I still won't be comfortable allowing him to use the Men's Room.

I agree. Age 7 or 8 is cool as long as ya stand there and wait for them. Watch 'em go in and watch 'em walk out.

Well CB my son is 11yrs old now and I trust him using the men's room by himself. Mind you I'm still outside the door when he comes out. Just me. I give him his independence but no body is messing with my baby so I'm still gonna stand there. Now my mom on the other hand like when we go on trips or out she still makes him go in the bathroom with her. I still fear my momma so I don't even intervine cause if she gives me that look it's all over for me.

I guess I would be way too overprotected. I would let my child use the mensroom by himself somewhere in between 8 and 10, but I would have to go in myself first and check it out myslef and/or stand right by the door. The age of a child is irrelevent to a pedofile (sp??) and even if you send them in there alone, you never know who's in the stall. It only takes a second to violate a child.. no matter the seriousness. I'm just paranoid, I know for a fact how easy and convenient it could be to violate a child and I'd just be doing my best to prevent it before it possibly happens.

I just remember that when i was little i knew the difference btwn the men and ladies room and i wouldn't go in the ladies room. I remember my mom bringing me in there 1 time but i was hesistant. One time she went in the men's room to make sure no 1 was there and i was like "oooo your not supposed to be in here!", if we ever went out with our family she would send someone to go to the bathroom with me. i can't remember what age though

I don't even like my little brother to go into the men's room..he's 10..he's special needs..but I know he could handle himself..some ole nassy man come tryna touch him..he would kick them where the good lawd split him and in his baby maker...But neways..you do have to be careful..these ole nassy men.

I am trying hard to remember how it was for me as a kid. I dont recall ever being in the ladies room...but maybe when I was really really tiny. But I think my dad or my brother would be with me normally so it was not an issue or someone (mom or the babysitter) would be waiting outside.
I say 7 is time to get the kid out the ladies room. Wait outside, set a time limit and call in after the kid if they are taking too long....no pedophile will do anything knowing mamma is right there and wont hesitate to duck her head in.
