It is a real problem that any parent with a school aged child should really talk to their child about. It is so deep, it goes beyond, "Go tell a teacher". A teacher can't be with your child all 8 hours of the day that your child is in school. These bullies are really terrorizing our children. You don't want to ostrasize your child by keeping him locked behind doors and if you tell them to defend themselves, God forbid someone gets hurt, you became the vigilante and it's YOUR fault. Keep talking to your child to find out stuff early so it can hopefully be nipped early.

I agree elmb. When I was in middle school I was bullied and I would tell my mom, but she couldn't do nothing for me. Not even as much as contacting the school or open her mouth. She didn't teach me to fight back, she taught me to ignore and that made me become somewhat anti social.
Anyway I don't have kids yet, but if it were to happen to my children, I refuse to sit silent and let my child be tortured everyday. I have to do something because I feel that when I was younger all the people who I looked to for help let me down.

A Bit Off Topic: I saw on the news yesterday, 2 girls got into a fight on the school bus, instead of the bus driver breaking up the fight, she let one of the parents on the bus to break it up. That parent broke it up alright and then she began beating up the girl who was beating up her daughter and now she is facing charges.

Oh my goodness, I have to see where you grew up because my grandmother who was raising me at that time did the same exact thing. Instead of standing up for myself, I was afraid of getting in trouble for fighting in school. But you know what, it made me grow up to have a BIIIIIIIIGGGG mouth. People know that I wont stand for garbage now, they just don't know it comes from years of harboring stuff inside of me. {{{ Giving Chelbe a hug}}} I feel ya, I really feel ya.

As for the bus driver, he just wanted to make it on the next Stupid Criminals series. And the parent involved, now you take your child and home school them since neither one of you are fit for the public. Talk to the world via internet...lol
