What's so disrespectful about having sex? Especially if you are married. I don't understand why we have so many issues with sex in and of itself.
Peace,

I agree with this. I'm wondering, though, why some people wouldn't even allow their married adult children to have sex in their home. I understand the idea of "house rules", but what's so wrong with sex that even your adult married children have to hide it from you?
Peace,
tafui

You do have a point.....but for me, sex is a private thing really.
When I answered, I was thinking about young people....but still...it just seems odd. I would not do it in my parents house with mom hearing the goings on.....just seems very odd. Thats me though.
I guess it should go....the rules of the house should be followed.

I mean...having sex while others can hear (or possibly see) is one thing. Nobody wants to hear their children (grown or otherwise) having sex. That's understandable. But having sex as a married adult in the house when no one knows is another thing.
Peace,
tafui

As a parent, letting them have sex underaged, of course not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even when they are grown, if they bring their boyfriend/girlfriend over and they spend the night, they have to sleep seperately. That's just how I was raised.
When they are grown, what I don't know, wont hurt me. I know as a grown woman now, when I go home and sleep in my family's house, I can't say that sex is top priority in my mind, it's hard to feel intimate with your mom/dad/guardian in the next room. Chances are if you do, you will be quiet about it.

It ain't got a darn thing to do with anything being "wrong with sex" it's about respect. I'm not going to encourage my children to engage in sexual activity (which should be a private thing) in anyone else's home. You want to engage in grown up activity, you should have a grown up house that way you can have it as much as you want.
No one will be freely having intercourse in MY home but me!
Definately NOT if your underage!
