Suppose you have a 13-year-old daughter who looks like she's 17 or 18 (when she's dressed up and due to her physique). You find that she's been sneaking off from school and going to meet a 19-year-old, who she is having sex with.

When all of this comes to light and you find out that he was truly not aware of her age, would you be sure that he was prosecuted for STATUTORY RAPE or would you chalk it up to your daughter being a little hot missy and not let him be subjected to all that would follow such a charge?

Since he honestly did think she was of age & she looks of age I don't think I would press charges, But I better NEVER catch him anywhere near my daughter again, because if I do we both would be getting charges at that point. And my daughter can forget about me trusting her the same as I used to, if she were to do something like this.

If I knew that he didn't know, then I certainly wouldn't file charges.

For one, developed or not my child will not be looking grown. If I have to do surprised visits at school, I will. I can't stand to see a child with long a$$ fake nails, grown shoes, hair all pinned up, and bellybutton showing. Parents have to take some responsibility as to how their child presents themselves. Two, I would be so mad you would not be able to reason with me. Right or wrong...he is going down.

I have to disagree with you on this because how can you charge him for something that he didnt know about. I understand that you would be mad because of the sexing and everything but you seriously have to blame your daughter. Because kids or adults, who checks i.d. when they meet someone?

I had something like this happen to me when I was 20. I met this girl, she told me that she was 19, she went to Georgia State, and told me her favorite club hangout. I had no idea that she was lying because she had a body like a 25 year old, she knew too much about GSU and the professors, and she met me at the club. I used to go pick her up from home at 2 and 3 in the morning. Was I to think that she was lying? To make a long story short when the **** hit the fan I found out that she was 16 and still in HS. So I was being locked up for some young chicks lies. I was a A+ college student, never been in any trouble in my life and it was all being snatched away because some young girl lied to me. NOW YOU TELL ME THAT FAIR! The girls mom didnt want to press charges because she said that her daughter does s**t like that all the time. She had been to juvie hall for s**t like that before. She ended up going back to juvie hall which I feel was fair. If the mom had an attitude like you I would be locked up for a young girls lies.

the_truth, you are right! But I seriously doubt, I would be in that situation. Because if a child of mind is behaving like that, she is on her own...literally! I am very much like my parents in that regard...as long as you are living under my roof you will follow my rules! Which means, you will not be coming in at no 2 or 3 in the morning.

Sorry you had to go through that!

Since he didn't know I wouldn't press charges. However if I find out afterwards I'm pressing charges.
