Parent's Tab?
Do parents OWE their child(ren) anything outside of basic care, necessities, and as good a life as they can provide?
Does the fact that they're mom/dad entitle them to life long benefits from their child(ren) and everything they do is OK?

Parents don't owe their children anything. Children today should consider themselves lucky. They should be lucky that they were given loving parents and they have a roof over their heads and food on the plate. I wish my kiddos would tell me I Owe them schumthin'.. Not gonna happen.
Two of them still me over 100,000 for sending their butts to college. LOL.. pay me back darn it.. You owe me baby!!!

"No." Honor thy Mother and thy Father so that thy days on earth shall long be numbered. I am now an adult, successful and on my own. In my parent's aging years? What I "owe" them is the debt of LIFE. At any time, should they need me? I will be there on the next thing 'smokin (or flyin). Make your OWN life I'd state.

Parents OWE their kids to give them as good a start in life as possible. They OWE thier kids the effort to improve on their own parents parenting styles. They OWE their kids not to abuse them in any way. They OWE their kids not to take out stress and problems from childhood or present day life on them. They OWE their kids to feed them, clothe them, give them a place to live, and to prepare them for the outside world. If they cannot afford to pay for college, they OWE their kid to teach them the skills to be able to work and do school or to work then do school later.
After that, what a parent does....particularly where money is concerned, is a gift rther than a right of the child....epsecially once they get grown.
Now in reality...no one can force a parent to do anything but feed and clothe....but why have kids if they dislike them so much that they cant love, respect, raise and nurture the kids? Also, what goes around comes around. People live long...but the number of years they can take care of themself aint expending....so parents need to at least do the things I think they OWE so that karma dont bite them in the A$$ when thier kids gotta take care of them.....basic care for a senior citizen is a home.

Thanks Samoon.....:)
I only have one thing to add that I forgot:
Parents OWE it to their kids to LEAD BY EXAMPLE when it comes to any important morals, ethics, attitudes, behaviours, and life lessons.

I owed my children safe-passage to adulthood. The rest they may get from me is gravy. Meanwhile, I'm spending their inheritance.
