We as a people need to realize that education comes in many different forms, self-education, trade, college, advanced and others. We have to realize that each one of us possesses different talents and skills this is the way society has worked since the beginning of time. One of the main reasons our educational system has failed especially within the black community is the lack of parental as well as community involvement also the lack of understanding on the purpose of an education. It is not just to get a good job; its purpose also is to become fully functional and productive in life. We have to learn to respect all stations, no matter if a person clean streets for a living or obtain the highest degree. We all serve a purpose. We as a people try to stand out we shouldn’t stand out just because the color of our skin, we should also stand out in how we treat each other and also how we encourage and uplift our children to be the best that they can be on all levels. So first things first, let us begin to encourage our young to find out what is truly in them, their talents and their skills, how? Example if a young person favorite subject is science then guide them to the many different avenues our career path in science. These way they can see for them selves the many options that are available. There are books at the library on different career choices also there are career centers in many libraries. Also if they do not know what their talent our skills are, then the web has many sites with career testing ect… We have no excuse now we have one of the greatest tools that has ever been created. It is up to each one of us to do our part weather it is your own child a relative or a neighbor. Many young people do not like to be told what to do maybe it is time to show by pointing them in the right direction. If you’re not going to do it who will? You will be surprised how little time it would take but the impact that it could have

Many parents think education is as simple as waiting for their child to become of age to attend school, registerng them, then sending them off every morning Mon-Fri. But once they realize their child isisn't capable of counting past 10 it becomes second nature to blame it all on public education. I do feel our public schools need much imporvement but if you as the parent don't care or have time enough to teach your lil' one what you can how do you expect a stranger who really doesn't give a damn to do so? Everything starts at home including our youths education.
"We have no excuse now we have one of the greatest tools that has ever been created." I've always felt that way, anything you want or need to know can be found right here. You may have to dig a little but it's all here.
