Racist Video Games
I be lying if I said I didn't have an X-Box in my bedroom, (we all have a big kid in us). I love sports so I probably have every sports title out. I only play sports games because for years the non-sports games got fat off sterotypes and racist overtones. No one ever addressed this topic publicly. Parents would be absolutley shocked if they could sit down and watch their child blow threw the different levels in these games. I watched my nephew play a game called 25 to life, I had to turn it off, in my brief 31 years on this planet I had never scene such blantant yet celebrated racism. I read an article that all parents with these systems in their house should read.

Ok. GTA 3 was racist because he was killing black, latino and asian hoods? Dont forget Italian hoods, the fact that the closest person to Tommy in GTA 3 was a black guy, and lets not forget that you could kill everyday people walking down the street I dont agree with their findings. They need to try again.

Some of these games are terrible they are both racist and sexist in a very bad way. We have to keep our eyes open for corrupt evil people to cause bad influences on developing young minds.

That's why I only let my sons play sports games. Too many racist/sexist games out there.

My sons were on their own before those games came out, and now that they have children of their own, they play SpongeBob and Barney. I suspect that they will be more watchful of what their children play than I could be in my ignorance of the current games.

I haven't been bit by the Xbox bug. I might play if bugged to death by someone who has one, but today's games don't do anything for me. Not to mention some of them are extremely violent which I don't find fun at all. I'm still stuck in the days of Nintendo. I bought me one a few yrs ago at a flea market, pulled out my old Super Mario Bros 1-3, Double Dribble and some other silly little games and escape back to my childhood for a little while. Now if I could only find a reasonably priced, good conditioned Atari....

This is the reason why we have to be up front with our kids about matters such as this.My boys know if I don't approve of anything, it doesn't make it to my house.

Guess I've been too buried in my books and studies to play many of these games :graduated ...never really had the time or inclination...but sorry to hear some of them are racist/ultraviolent/sexist. Sorry but not surprised.
