I am not for or against abortion, I feel that a person knows their situation! If it is the best situation and best decision for the person at the time I don't knock that.
I can also see what a person means when they say that they are just not ready for children, maybe they should have been a little more protected but to each is own!
I DON'T condone abortion~~~~I am NOT against abortion

Personally, I think the only real justifications for abortion are rape or if it's medically necessary, like some others have said... otherwise, it's just irresponsibility and a senseless killing.

The reasons why I would be for abortion after basically revolve around it not being her fault that she's pregnant and therefore, she may not be ready for the child financially (obviously no support from the father), but especially mentally and emotionally. It has to be a damaging thing to look at a child everyday that reminds you of being raped, and the child can end up suffering from that in the long run, so that wouldn't be fair to the child neither. I don't really think abortion is RIGHT in any case, but in those cases, I can understand.

Chelle you know I love ya homey but I have to ask you this be it hypothetical ... If you were raped god gorbid and you became pregnant you would still keep the pregnancy and have the baby ...even with all of the mental and pyschological anguish and things of that nature ... I just have to know ...?as well as some of the other women who have spoken in this thread the same question applies to you ... would you ???

Imma be honest and up front...
I dont agree with it, i think its wrong (no matter what stage), and I wouldnt pay for nothing...
If my girlfriend or wife had an abortion...and its not a goooooooood reason (extreme health wise to her or the baby or both)...then she might as well kiss the relationship good bye...
The End!

I hate to sound cold but this abortion thing is a non-issue. I say that because there is no difference between the D&C procedure and the abortion procedure only what it is called. Because in both procedures the womb is still scraped.

It's been a long time now. But I actually went with a friend that was SIX months preggers while in college and "all of a sudden" she decided to terminate her pregnancy. Other than myself and the guy that got her preggers, no one else knew. No one. I tried, tried in vain to get her to re-think what she was going to do but...not. She terminated it. The BABY was viable, thriving even and if I had to tell you what she told me she went through? You may change your position on abortion. Maybe. Maybe not. But this girl had to actually go through LABOR to deliver a dead baby. I still think about her to this day. And wonder if what she did ever haunts her memory. Because for the "hell" that the sistah went through? ONLY in case of rape or if my life was in imminent danger would I consider doing this. Otherwise, I could never, ever contemplate terminating a pregnancy. But this is just my opinion. :(
