Indeed. I agree with you BV. "Children live what they learn." RIGHT NOW is the time that BOTH of the parents MUST pay attention to the disciplining of their children, not summarily dismissing their children AND their behavior in public and home setting. Charity may begin at home...but when you take that training to public areas, it then provides an opportunity to illustrate that "home-training." Personally, I could never, ever fathom ANY child of mine or relative for that matter that "acted out" in public.

I recall once, seeing a child "fall out in the aisle in the grocery store" and the mother stood there pleading with the child to stop and get up off of the floor. Pleading? With a child? Who was the parent and who was the child in this case? Which led me to believe that that was not the first time that the child "performed in public." Sheesh......

Thank you! Oh yes! They are notorious for falling out and "performing" in public areas, especially in grocery and toy stores all the time! You hit the nail on the head when you posed the rhetorical question of "who is the parent and who is the child?"

How many times have I posed that same question???? I am saddened by the lack of parentiing skills exhibited by some modern mothers, and, considering that the age of mothers and grandmothers has dropped tremendously in the past decades, it's only going to get worse. THREE generatons living under the same roof and the eldest, the grandmother, is now, usually, only about 30 or 40 years of age. The sad part is, they think they know everything and will not listen to their elders. Where is the widsom? Wisdom is disappearing, dying, and she is taking our children with her!
