Avatar sizing for members
Ok, I know many of you like to have your own avatar. Occasionally I will update the AfroChat avatar inventory with some new ones, but if you have one you would like made from an image you already have, email it to dblack@afrochat.net, and I will resize it while preserving much quality as possible.
Just another way of showin some love to my peeps!

the avatar is too damn small!
i need some room to do my thing.
can't you increase the size allotment?
there is plenty room for a horizontal stretch.

Whattup Jamesfrmphilly?
The maximum Avatar dimensions for Residents is 90x90 pixels, maximum size is 10kb.
Stretching an images usually distortes it pretty bad. I would only recommend PaintShop pro or Photoshop for stretching/resizing of images.
If you have an image you would like resized, I would be glad to assist.

Just trying to be helpful.
Your preference is respectfully noted.
Please consider the following:
200 pixels is certainly too large and would totally disrupt the layout of our pages as it would be over 100% the size of the current standard. An image that size is more appropriate for a sig, which we allow to be 400pixels squared. If you want to be able to 'have more room to work with', I suggest you place your larger artwork in the signature section. An avatar is simply a very small, subtle icon representing a user.
Thanks for your understanding.
