The cold callers, using nothing but a contact number and email, are the demonseeds of telemarketing.
They get a really cold shoulder when they call my house.

I found out about a number to call and register your cell phone with the do not call registry. Call this number from your cell phone to register 1-(888) 382-1222. It blocks your number from telemarketers for 5 years.

I haven't received any calls from those numbers Charliekilothree , but I sure get tired of the folks form the Pensacola News Journal !!!!!

I believe they are some kind of collection agency. They are calling for somebody named Diane Carpenter. I called them one day and told the man that answered the phone that if they kept calling my phone number looking for this person, I will report them to the FCC. So far I have not heard from them again.

Telemarketers call sometimes, but mostly its people trying to reach someone who had the number before me. Phone numbers are recycled by most of these companies.
