The price of gas
How has the price of gas affected your lifestyle?
It has not affected mine very much yet. I am still able to fill my tanks without taking out a loan. I fill up my truck once a week because I have to get to work. I have a car that gets better fuel economy but it runs on 91-93 octane which costs about $0.20 more per gallon. I am aware that people in some other countries have been paying much more for gas all along while we still enjoy relatively cheap gas prices.
Will you still plan trips that require driving your own vehicle?
I do still plan on taking road trips because I like to travel in my own transportation whenever possible.
How will the price of gas affect your next vehicle purchase?
I don't plan on buying another vehicle for a long time but when I do decide to buy another one it will have to be a gas miser for sure.

How has the price of gas affected your lifestyle?
I have started limiting my trips downtown. I pay attention to prices at stations that I pass, and jump in line where I see a lower price. I haven't started using no-name brands yet, but that's coming.

Our next "vacation" will be another roadtrip. There is no other way to visit a bunch of National Parks. This will probably be the last unless the prices drop significantly
How will the price of gas affect your next vehicle purchase?
I'm seriously considering a hybrid. I had planned to buy a car in the fall anyway.

I like the idea of a hybrid but I would not want to wait forever to get one and pay through the nose if I did manage to nab one. I drive to Chicago every other year. I went last summer and the prices were tolerable then. I hate to think about next year.

How has the price of gas affected your lifestyle?
It hasn't really affected my lifestyle much.
Will you still plan trips that require driving your own vehicle?
Yes. I've driven to Michigan and back twice, and up to NJ/NY quite often.
How will the price of gas affect your next vehicle purchase?
I've been checking out the hybrid vehicles available, but I'm not sure if I really want to go that route.

I checked www.gasbuddy.com this afternoon, and filled my tank for $1.99 a gallon at Sheetz.

The rising gas prices do not affect me directly only because I don't drive. Anyone that makes a living driving a cab (or do you say taxi) has to be hurting by now.

I'm thinking of all those pancakes you'll have to make. I can taste them already. Better start saving your money in a special "gas" account ASAP.

If you go to the store to buy something you may end up paying more for it because of fuel prices. The shipper has to pay more for fuel so they will end up increasing the transportation costs. The store will have to pay more and they will pay those increases on to the consumers.

CK3, your posts or replies aren't visible unless I quote you. I first noticed it in this thread and the same thing happened in the Cosby thread.
The store will have to either pass their additional cost of doing business on to the consumer or lay off employees.
