The CES (Consumer Electronic Show) In Vegas
People loose their minds coming to the Consumer Electronic Show here in Sin Citi each year! It's like a big arse candy store for grown folks. Mr. Hodgson (my hubby) went there on friday and he was telling me about this new 103 inch T.V (I forget the maker of this unit), but it cost $70,000.00. He brought back the flyers for it and I saw it on the local news here too. But I figure if you're going to pay that much, you should just invest in a mini threatre. We converted our garage into a theatre and it can comfortably seat 8 people but it didn't cost us 70 grand either!!!
Has anyone else seen this TV?

No I have not seen the TV, but I've been to CES several times. My ex works in the car audio business so I would go to the shows with him every year. It's an Electronic's lovers playhouse. Not to mention the big porn convention that takes place at the same time as CES every year.
You're right people "LOSE THEIR MINDS" at CES. It's a pretty cool convention though even if you're not into all the gadgets and stuff.

I wouldn't pay $70,000 for a TV even if I had that kind of money. That's almost as much as I paid for my house. I like gadgets as much as some other people but I wait until prices come down on new technology before I buy it.

However, when you watch this convention on HGTV, you can't help but dream and hope that manufacturers start make the more affordable versions. :)

Those shows are really for innovators that want to have the latest and greatest technology. They also have deep pockets to buy a few of those new gadgets.

I would love to go to the CES, just to see, and dream and drool.

He's too practical to get too extravagant, but he is watching for the prices to drop.

You build 'em.. people will buy 'em. Those innovators are mainly from Japan and to me that's where the best technology comes from. I ain't going down to Mookies TV Shop to buy ish!! For some people spending $70,000.00 is like spending $7.00 for an appitizer at Chili's. They don't care, it's just a matter of them braggin' to their friends as to who got it first. Then stroll on down to Detroit for the Auto Show. I don't even wanna talk about those prices!!
