Word in the blogs is that Microsoft has a fix to be released on January 10. The patch that Gorilla is talking about may be the same thing.
If you do the automatic update thing, a balloon will pop up on your computer on Tuesday saying there are updates for you to download.
I'll sit tight until Tuesday.

Blogs are just repeating what Microsoft's policy is and what their official statement about this isssue affirmed. Its been since late December and Microsoft is dragging its feet with an issue that puts a lot of people at risk. I understand a lot of people are apprehensive about a third party patch for their system and its their own choice. US-CERT even issued some work around suggestions people can use but they arent full proof. I'm just used to checking source code and applying a patch from the community because of the open source model. Six more days is a bit much to ask from people who invest a lot of money and just want to use their computer without things like this happening and not being addressed. Hope everyone stays safe. |

i got a virus.
took me three days and a call to TS to get rid of it.
after i came back up, i got the upgrade.
oh well.
