Yes, you can talk. It will give you the option of calling your contact. It rings like a regular phone would. And if your contact is calling you, you have the option of answering the call or not. All you need is a mic, earpiece, etc...

I got a gmail address but my computer keeps messing up when I try to download the googletalk. I am going to take this computer into get it fixed soon cause I don't know what is wrong with it. I think I may have to change it or upgrade it one or the other real soon.
