Missing files
Last night I was using Window Washer to clean up my files from Internet surfing. Towards the end of the process, most of the icons on my desktop disappeared. I did a system restore this morning and most of them were restored. I have the folders back but the files are missing from them. Has anybody ever had this problem before? I'm using Windows XP hime edition.

I've never used Window Washer. What does it do?

It erases your history in all the supported browsers, temp Internet files and everything in your recycle bin. Basically destroys cookies and things so when you go back online to a website, they don't know that you have been there before. Can ya tell me where those bloody files went now?

I always use the "System tools" for that stuff. All System Restore does is restore your registry, and any pointers that got lost. Is there anything in your Recycle Bin?

No, the Recycle bin was emptied during Window Washer. I can see the folders where the files once were but they are empty now.
