What did you think of it? Some of the events he describes, such as the teleportation of Swami Pranabananda, the aromatic tricks of the Perfume Saint, and the Sohong Swami's fights with tigers, are so beyond the "real" world that I have had to frequently take a break from reading the book and ponder whether or not to believe such events really occurred.
It is not that I doubt such powers are within the grasp of one who has realized samadhi. It is that I keep wondering why a swami who has realized samadhi, and hence has nothing to prove to any mortal man, would bother to engage in such circus like demonstrations.
Another fascinating book in that genre is Deepak Chopra's "Buddha - A Story of Enlightenment". It also contains supernatural feats, but Chopra admits in the preface that the book is a fictionalized account of various myths about the life of the Buddha. Hence, whether such events actually happened takes second place to what the message is behind them. The book begins with this quote:
Whoever sees me sees the teaching. -- BUDDHA
