The Arts

The oldest known representation of the human body is that of a black
Woman it was carved by a black sculptor of Grimaldi race from 10,000
To 15,000 years ago. It is called “The Venus of Willendorf” after the
Place in Austria where it was found, and is in the Vienna Museum.

Beethoven, the world’s greatest musician, was without a doubt a dark
Mulatto. He was called “The Black Spaniard.” His teacher, the
Immortal Joseph Hayden, who wrote the music for the former Austrian
National Anthem was black too.

Jose Vasconcelos (El Negrito Poets), born of African Congo parents at
Almolonga, Mexico, about 1710, wrote verses that were so popular that
They entered into Mexican folk-lore and were printed annually on the
Calendars of Mexico until 1872, one hundred and twelve years after
His death.

Ancient civilizations

The most ancient lineage in the world is that of the Ethiopian royal
Family. It is said to be older than that of King George VI’s by 6,130
Years. The Emperor Haile Salassi I, ruler of Ethiopia, traces his ancestry to
King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba and beyond that of Cush, 6,280 B.C.

Black people lived in America thousands of years before Columbus, central
American monuments show numerous carvings of them as GODS. When
Columbus came to the New World; blacks had been crossing from Africa
To South America a distance of 1,600 miles. The first white man to reach the
American mainland, tell of seeing blacks. Columbus who visited south
America said he had heard of them there.

There were at least eighteen Ethiopian or unmixed black rulers of Ancient
Kemet (Egypt), the best known of which is Piankhl. Leaving his country
In Central Africa, Piankhl conquered all Egypt to the mouth of the Nile
In 750 B.C.

Cheop, a black man built the Great Pyramid, one of the seven wonders of
The Ancient World. It is 451 feet high, has 2,500,000 blocks of granite,
Each weighs two and a half tons, covers 13 acres, took 100,000 men thirty
Years to build and was completed in 3730 B.C.

Elam, a mighty black civilization of Persia, flourished about 2900 B.C.
And is perhaps older than Egypt or Ethiopia. One of its later black kings
Kudur Nakunta, conquered Chaldea and Babylon and bought back to his
Capital, Susa, rich treasures among them was the famous statue of the
Goddess, Nana.

Science and invention

Jan Ernest Matzelinger, a Dutch West Indian black living in Lynn. Mass;
Invented the first machine for sewing the soles of shoes to the uppers.

The Industry and gave shoe supremacy to the United States.
It made several millionaires, one of whom left 4,000,000 to Harvard
University.

Benjamin Bannerker, a black astronomer, made the first clock made in
America in 1754. He also designed the blue prints for the White House
In the United States. The blue prints were burned in a fire and Bannerker
Redrew them from scratch. He published an almanac that became
Immediately successful. He also help build the state capitol in the U.S.

Percy Lavon Julian was an internationally acclaimed scientist who was
Granted more than 130 patents during his career. Percy specialized in
Synthesizing innovative drugs and industrial chemicals from natural
Products such as soybeans and potatoes

Andrew Jackson Beard a black inventor his most important invention
Was the automatic coupler for rail road cars, also known as the
Jenny Coupler.
Prior to his invention, coupling rail road cars was a dangerous job.
A worker had to brace himself between two railway cars and drop a metal
Spike into a slot as the car crashed together men were often injured when
They could not move their hand or arm away from the colliding cars fast
Enough some lost their lives when falling between two cars.
Beard also invented the rotary steam engine that was patented in 1892.

Augustus Morgan Garrett Barely completed elementary school, but his
Genius and ingenuity was second to none. He gave the world two very
Important inventions, the gas mask and the traffic signal, both of which
Have saved the lives of thousands of people
Garrett used his gas mask to save the lives of white workers trapped by smoke
And fire in a tunnel he went in first personally and began bringing workers out
Which was his first trial of the mask but the next day news papers printed
The saving of the workers lives was done by a white man Garrett was never
Mentioned.
