Sara Baartman left Africa to better herself after witnessing and not accepting her native environment and respectfully, found the world outside her environment hideous; she was a living specimen for their growing ignorance and sexual perversions, and like the hanging tree reserved for North American slaves, humiliated in death for public amusement and speculation.
What I found interesting about her is... she chose this lifestyle and got paid for most of the things done to her. She accepted payment for their hands to touch her, to have sex with her, to be seen as an exhibit in the traveling freak show circus in France, and as a prostitute before dying of disease.
I wonder why she never returned home, it couldn't have been as bad as this.

man!...that was so sad!(though a happy ending)...but how would most sistas know about her if she was never mention at school?...this IS my first time every hearing about her, i will telll my girls about her.and the part of how she was made to look like a freak because of her body parts!...white just makes me sick!...always thinking them and their ways are the right and normal way! that's why i was so glad when sir-mix-a-lot come out with songs praising the sistas body!
