Tonight, I have finished the database export/import testings with the new host. The intermittent problems you see tonight is a primary reason for the move. They just don't care about service anymore.

DNS pointers have been changed to point to the new host, and within a few days we will switch over to host B. On the day of the switch, there will be some downtime as my current host will not allow me to point to this database from a remote webhosting site. Which means I will have to do an export, then import into the site.

The site should be down a maximum of a day. But don't fret, AfroChat will never die!

May our ancestors be pleased. If things r going too smooth it could mean nothing right is b n done... per the wannabee "controllers." Of thought, speech and actions

a day or two down time in exchange for what u see as service to your members is fair exchange, imo...
