I don't know Jaboom from a can of paint. Nor do I know AfroSaxon or most others here on the forum as I've never met any of you. That being said, if you make your business public on a forum, others have a right to agree and disagree.

I don't see where anyone owes anyone an apology, but there certainly is room for restraint on both sides. I do know that there is much more to this than meets the eye, but that's not important right now.

All I ask is that we take the contention somewhere else and not here. Celeste's absence here leaves a huge void because she was a wonderful person. Who believes what and what not is not important in this thread.

Let's respectfully mourn, in our own way, her absence from this community.

DBlack, I agree with what you have said, but was wondering from the comments made by Afro Saxon should we be mourning at all as he made implications that this may be a farce of sorts. I and others asked him to explain, but have yet to receive such an explanation. I remember Celeste vividly here on the boards. I loved how she would bring up topics that deviated from the everyday norm of our serious debates. Topics that we all could partake in regardless of religion, beliefs, background, etc.

Afro Saxon's decision to call out Jaboom on this wasn't like any other thread where we were debating issues. This is a person's life and what we all had believed had ended as by the information given by Jaboom and had begun to offer our condolences/expressions of her memory while here. That was until Afro Saxon made the comments that basically said our comments may be in vain. I had an email in my inbox that was posted from Afro Saxon that said he was waiting on an email from some lady and then he would reveal his findings; this was on Wednesday. If she isn't really dead and this is a farce, don't you think we (those that offered sympathy and are thinking about the family daily) need to know the truth? Respectfully.

I really can't believe this at all....

Am I that much of a outsider here that everyone would take a message I recieved in an email by some one with the same name as the woman I loved sisters name?

Ever since I first came to this site I was pushed to the outside because of my views. I have held my head high and kept saying what I felt was right never once did I go out of my way to attack anyone though I challeged the norm of the way things go here.

I can tell that people here think that Celeste and I could have never been anything like what I've said but you know what she was that and the only person here that understood what I stand for and supported me as much as I supported her. I gave you all the email address from where this email was sent so that you could talk to her sister yourselves. But since you are so interested in proving me wrong. Don't what you want and feel how you feel about what I have said.

I'm sick of trying to prove myself to MY OWN DAMN PEOPLE!!!

Peace....

Jaboom, I'm not sure why he made the comments or who sent whom an email first. I never sent an email to her sister as I felt that type of communication should be for immediate family and friends, not some random person on a website as I am. All I know is he made comments, but never came back to offer an explanation and then I get a email update that he was waiting on one email from some woman, Jasmine I think was the name not sure though and he would tell us the whole scoop.

I'm not sure who made you feel as though you were an outsider. I've always loved your poetry and looked forward to reading it. I hope that you find solace in knowing that your time spent with Celeste was something that made her equally happy as she made you. I'll leave this alone though out of respect.

I'm gonna say it..I think it was a little premature and insensitive to shed doubt on this woman's sudden demise. So far no proof to back it up. Respect apparently is not a given...Nor right to privacy at a time like this...wow..

Again my condolences and may she R.I.P, from what you all say about her,she sounded like a very productive and positive poster here on this MB..not to mention someone really important to Jaboom's heart and soul and of course, his real life/love..

I know some of you will be upset for what I am about to do, But I am closing this thread.

The situation surrounding the absence of Celeste has put AfroChat in a very difficult position. In a nutshell we have two people with two stories about Celeste. I know first hand that both of these individuals have not been totally honest about the issue. Out of love and respect for Celeste, I will not be a willing participant on this drama laden issue.

Celeste was one of my favorite members here and there is no doubt, her presence will be missed. But I cannot allow this cloud of drama to be associated with her. Not here.

There is much more I wish I could share, but much of it NOT based on concrete evidence. I am not callling anyone a liar, but since I cannot completely beleive either individual, I don't feel right about this thread and the surrounding drama.

I promise all of you that multiple people are investigating the issue and all the people involved. Once I have confidence on what is discovered, I promise to share it with you all.

Celeste, we miss you....!
