Car Dealership going green

Chyrsler LLC is building a certified green dealership in Florida and spending $3 billion in new fuel technology to improve fuel efficiency. Do you think this is a good idea and should all car dealerships follow their lead?

Does this mean the dealership is only selling cars that run on 'green' fuel? Or, is it just that their operations will be fueled by alternative energy sources? Please elaborate. Thanks.

Here is the article: Chrysler LLC: News - Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Chrysler Financial, Mopar and GEM

The building itself will be certified green. An energy efficient building. Hopefully alot of other companies will do the same.

It's an interesting dichotomy that, while the building will operate in a more environmentally-friendly manner, the cars sold there will continue emitting carbon and other harmful toxins into the atmosphere. Nonetheless, it's definitely a step in the right direction. I wish more companies would invest in 'greener' operations.

I hope more greener operations develop as well. Chrysler LLC has 11 vehicles that earned the US EPA SmartWay environmental certification. Hopefully we will have 'green' cars being sold from 'green' dealerships. It will only make more sense to do so.
