My Door is always Open to Residents!
I beleive in openess with the family, so that's why i am bringing this up.
AfroChat.net is a community of residents; a family. If there is an issue you have or concern, contact me about it and i promise to look into it. Or you can contact other members of the staff on it.
It is the responsibility of ALL of us to keep this a place drama free. Take a look at the person 'next to you' and ask yourself 'is this person a positive part of this community, or are they all about negativity?' Be truthful about your assessment and act accordingly. If the answer if yes, you should check them on it, or distance yourself politely from them.
Just like in real life, some people are not happy when others are happy. Some people want others to feel the same way they do about somebody or something. Rebuke this destructive attitude.
There are some people here, as in real life, that don't want to squash bitterness. They don't want to get along with those that see things differently from them. They don't want to make peace for the sake of having peace. They will, by their own posionous actions, expire themselves. And it matters not how long they have been here, how much AfroCash they have or how many posts; we don't play favorites. Help us to root them out, so we can purge them from our community like a cancer and move on.
don't be afraid to report the troublemakers, we will quickly deal with them; fairly and concisely. Whatever you do DON'T DO NOTHING! BE AN ACTIVE PART OF KEEPING THIS PLACE DIFFERENT FROM THE REST! Think of it as the AfroNeighborHood Watch!
The ReportPosts Feature is valuable! Use it!
Here's and example of community and Staff working together:
last night a highly ignorant individual registered at our site. Within a couple of hours they were insulting, vulgur, offensive and even making insanely inappropriate remarks regarding children.
The AfroResidents AND Staff immediately took action, reporting the resident posts. No one fired back in the same ignorant manner as the offending individual; everyone was mature, and handled it in a respectable manner. Guess what, now he's gone! We can't control what people do and post, but we can REACT to it by dealing with that individual and even removing them from the community.
Every member that has ever been disrespectful to fellow residents is no longer a member here. So help us and take charge of your online community!
Remember, if you chose not to do your part to keep things drama free, you chose to be a part of the problem.
Be vigilant, protect your community, report the negativity! I promise you, we will deal with them.
Love To All the Afros!
