From another perspective, I tend to have more favor towards a leader that can put aside his personal pride and desires for the good of the people, as opposed to his personal transgressions at home..which were on both sides. And I can certainly understand him not forgiving his wife, that is far more of a personal matter.
Whites still control his land, but there can be no doubt, Mandell was and is a hero. Nothing like modern black leaders of today.

Your statements are contradictory........On one hand you're stating he was powerless yet a LEADER? Then please break down WHAT exactly is admirable of a POWERLESS leader? Break down his achievements .....his actions as opposed to Winnie.
I believe sexism is one of the underlying factors of people(mostly men) who elevate Nelson Mandela to an almost omnipotent level while on the slick and sly try to discredit Winnie. Bringing up her affairs, bringing up the fact that she had some of her people killed. Oh Well....Maybe if John Brown, Denmark Vesey, Gabrielle Prosser and Nat Turner had gotten rid of the Black people that sold them out like too we MIGHT have been free along time ago
