For me helping the world, my community, friends, neighbors, family members etc is not really about me or what I am doing to change things, but more about what I am not doing.
Explained.
I don't beat my woman, I treat her with respect, and dignity
I don't use deal or drugs or have anything to do with those who do
I don't sit on my butt complaining about what i don't have
I don't act a fool and live wrong all week then go to church on sunday
I don't have to dress like a thug to prove I am hard
I don't rob or steal from others, but rather get out and work for mines
I don't never speak on what I am going to do but rather show you the fruits of what i did
I don't make excuses for my kids not getting and education but ensure they do.
I can go on but i think you get the picture. What I am doing to make the world a better place is: I am being an upright Black man who is a positive role model for my children, family, friends and everyone who crosses my path in life. With hopes that they would take my example and do like wise. Doing the right thing has got to become the popular thing in order for it to prosper. It seems at time so much negativity is in the news and all around us that people are doing wrong just because everyone is doing it. Its not what anyone person is doing to force change we all have to get on the same sheet of music to effect change across a broad scale.
