If the cops caught me robbing a liquor store, and during the arrest my partner shot one of the police dogs, I would have gotten more time in prison than Tesler even though, unlike Tesler's case, no little old ladies were killed and, unlike Tesler, I did not plant drugs on the dog.

Tesler should have gotten life imprisonment, in the same cell as a 7 foot, 350 lb serial rapist who goes by the name of Dorothy.

5 years is the maximum for what he was found guilty of. The jury only convicted him of the obstruction charge.
