OTOH, the ones with the most "Presidential experience" prior to taking office turned out to be the worst Presidents in American history (i.e., James Buchanan and Richard M. Nixon).
And anyway, Presidential experience is pretty much a myth. Out of the 43 Presidents this country has had, none of them had any real experience prior to taking office....none of them. The only men in this country who can lay claim to Presidential experience are the ones who've actually been President (i.e., Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and George Bush Sr.), and none of them can or are willing to run again.
How does one go about gaining the experience to become President? You don't. Nothing you've ever done in your life can prepare you for this difficult job....nothing

Ok, couldnt've said it better myself, though I love being powerfully ignorant!that's what i'm talkin' about. Like the ATLien said, how do you gain experience being president when you've never been president? With all the family experience George W. had his presidency should've been fairly smooth(maybe) but he's an idiot and only an idiot with that much "experience" can foul things up.
