I remember that. Its not a system for everyone yet, but its getting there. I'm more of a command line person because it can save me a lot of time and its a nice way to tell my system to do what I would like. Just out of curiosity, how was the hardware support for your machine? Did you have to configure anything manually?

Linux has improved with it's GIU interfaces. My instructor is like you. She is a command line guru and she lives for it. She echoes your point,
"I have complete control to do what I want". The command line can be daunting and intimidating to rookies. I suggest the reader stick to GNOME and KDE Linux distros.
