Once, for a 6 six week period, (progress report received and six weeks until the report card), my son lost all priviliges except: listening to the radio, reading and board games.
No tv, computer (except as required for homework), no bike, skateboard, playing with friends, and oops it was football season...no practice, no dressing with the team.

By week 2 he was begging me to just whip him and get it over with. My response was...You don't get to pick your punishments. My point was well made, he understood the priority and the science grade that put him on punishment...came up to a "B".
