(noted sarcasm) "Militants," as you term us, arise when a social order is NOT working. Look at past uprisings, not riots--for they tell the tale. A militant POSITION borders on PHYSICAL revolution. Epochs of history have taught BLACK people in this country that VIOLENCE will not produce economic empowerment or bring about CHANGE. Not with the "rearing up" of racism that is so omni-present.
Moving on, alas, a mistake of the 'panthers, but their dismantling did prove to be a very important and criticial learning curve for black people. For blacks DID observe and LEARN from that--that murder is the easiest form of genocide especially in Amerikka--a war-mongering country in and of itself. That biggest 'banger is sitting right up there in the "White" house...right along with his father.
