Curious, thanks for your interesting perspective on this issue. While the debate on the N word is and excellent topic, and is certainly worthy of debate, as administrator, some choices are not. While my opinions on the N word is that ultimately it's unharmful, I still feel it's inappropriate as a label or alias. Because in that context it is inappropriate to me. And even if I didn't feel that way, enough people in the community, as well as external members feel it is inappropriate. How many people you know have a first name of '******'? U Feel Me?

In the case of names, I just feel that there are too many choices for a resident to use, and a name is a label. I find it unacceptable to use a name that many will find innapropriate, offensive or devisive. That's not to say it's not a great debate subject, but I have to establish rules that are consistent with the direction and vision of the community as well considering the manageability of such rules when the boards have many many more users.

Impression is everything as you may have heard, and frankly, mature adults don't find it challenging to pick an alias that's unoffensive, unique, beautiful, and creative.

From names like OOOHoney, SlickBitty, MochaMami33 to ladyBug, Curious1, PhilMoslim, Blak, JamieC, etc....
Let's face it. These and all the hundreds of aliases on this board are beautiful indeed. And I simply want to keep it that way.
