When white folks at my sons school try to tell him what he should do when they can't relate to him. He wants to go away to a HBCU but they "suggest" that he do a two year community college

Now there isn't anything wrong with it - I go to a CC, but I feel they are trying to discourage him. We were late getting him registered for SATs and the counselor told me it was too late. Well I didn't trust that so I called the SAT folks and they told me he could go stand by. Being the counselor, it seems she would have known this. When he went to the counselor to get the registration papers, she tried to discourage him again from taking it.
