While soy products may cost a bit more than their dairy counterparts on average, I think it's important to take a more balanced approach to this 'cost' issue: from my perspective, it seems better to me to pay more for food now rather than, say, later in life, super-high medical bills that are the direct result of eating food that, from a personal financial standpoint, is less costly than healthier alternatives.

For me, the soy products, especially the cheese, took some getting used to. In the end, though, the "eat to live, not live to eat" notion got the best of me, so I now I wouldn't have it any other way.
