When are we gonna stop making excuses for obama's lack of interest in the black community? Fact of the matter is, his priority list doesn't include the black agenda.
Why is Tavis getting all this flack while Obama gets none? Is this what we expect out of so-called black leaders? Where is the outrage over Obama's bottom barrel attendance record in the Senate? I don't see any blacks talking about that? Why is it o.k. for Obama to put the ignore the powerful and influencial black media outlets, while seeking the support o f whites? Sadly, blacks have rallied behind a man that, by his own behavior, is only half-black by skin color. Where I come from, if you aren't a leader at one level, it's ridiculous to think you will excel at the next level. Too many of us have become so blind to the Obama run, that everyone that criticizes him or objects to him catches the wrath. Reminds me so much of how the slave trade came to be so lucrative to whites.
True activists like Sharpton and Jackson rarely shun such opportunites, yet they seem to be hated by the black collective as of late. That is truly disturbing. If we, as a people have become a culture that is now willing to forsake character, substance and true achievement for the sake of holing public office, then we become more and more like whites. I shudder at the thought...
