I'm not a parent, but i'm a child of two parents. It's been my experience of parents with grown children that they really grade themselves as 'good' or 'bad' parents based on whether they are proud of their children's accomplishments.

And of course, that 'good' or 'bad' is relative to the social-economic status that the parents themselves are a part of, as well as the social-moral system to which they subscribe.
