I really have to force myself to smile and be friendly for the next customer.

I really like working with the public and for the most part I have really nice and courteous customers. It is just that select few that just mess with me. Just needed to get that off my chest.
I feel you on this one! When I was working at a Dept. Store, the customers did that to me too. I was working in a dominately, upper class black community. Some of the worst customers were white or were ghetto blacks (one threated to kill my friend, also a cashier-but anyways)- I dont me just from the ghetto-I mean no manners or dignity what so ever. And the white customers made so many da*ned demands; Im like "Look, this is not Lord & Taylor...." I swear I wanted to tell them to go pack to their uppity side of town...
BUT ANYWAYS AGIAN!!!!!!!!!!
The foreigners were the ones who through the money on the counter...And I couldnt stand it. Its like they think they're to good to hand it to you and even one African guy had the nerve to lash out at me and throw the money on the counter and say that his price was to high
OKAY; SO WHY DID YOOOOOU WANT IT?
Other than that, I held back my anger and just mumbled under my breath when the walked out the store.
I remember ALOT of the nicest customers that can through; one said that I had a pleasant attitude (a brazilian guy, I'd never forget his face), some held the craziest convos (the women, lol) and then some of the men would try to talk or flirt with me (sigh,...some fine men).
You have to just remember, that most custmers have this IDEA that you have to cater to them. When things get out of hand, you cant do that. Over all that I did give those customer my best customer service....In hopes that my anger wouldnt become an ulcer.
