So I'll respond to the comment you made about the Imus thingy being old and intellectually weak then. I'll agree with you - it is old. Please direct me to the section of the Afro Chat rules that entails where you can't reference things from our past in your posts or examples whether they are from the past in your posts and I will gladly delete that portion of my post. I knew we couldn't post threads that have already been posted as they will be deleted, but didn't know we couldn't reference anything from our past to list as an example. If that be the case, then you should have a problem with most posts in most threads as well - but it was just mine, huh. Interesting. I noticed though that you never said I was wrong in my assessment, just that it was old, which tells me a few things, but I will leave them out of this post. And advise what was superficial about my post? But, please...........direct me to this rule, will you?

Seems I must have struck a nerve or hit the nail on the head for you to take it as you did. If it doesn't apply to you, then why would it matter to you is all I'm asking. But in your defense, you have every right to state "YOUR" opinion as you have done.

But since you are in "need" of current affairs only - Cosby is currently going around to different cities regarding our communities. Some are saying he is a sellout or he is way off base, or that he shouldn't be putting our communities on blast in the media like that. He was in my town recently. Anyone care to jump on the band wagon and say that he is right, "BEFORE" someone of another race has to make us all sit up and think and finally agree with Cosby?
What do rules gave to do with anything? I said it was old, as it is, doesn't mean I said it shouldn't be posted.
I said an adult should know the difference between commentary and entertainment. Meaning your assessment was illogical at base and therefor needed to further comments.
I'm not Imus, nor a rapper, it's childish to believe people only respond to things that hit a nerve. People respond to posts for many reasons. Why would I be any different?
I care little about what Cosby is preaching, he is right about somethings wrong on others, I have better models for Black upliftment to follow. I'll let others be led by entertainers.
You proved people from other races dictate your views on your own.. i.e Imus, do not project that onto other Blacks, some of us have a sense of history, are literate and need no white man nor the mainstream media to be conscious.
