These tests just don't make any sense. I could understand if children from many different ethnic groups were raised under similar conditions, and educational standards and THEN they were tested for their educational aptitude. But you see this isn't what is happening. So much for objective results. And here I was thinking that in order for research to be accurate you have to always be at similar starting points...
This is ridiculous...

The most you can say from the results of such tests is that given the better life circumstances and superior educational opportunities many whites have over other ethnic groups, whites are better prepared than black students at testing. To which my response would be of course they are. If I went to:
1. the wealthiest schools with...
2. teachers who were paid better and therefore put better effort into teaching and ensuring that their students learned more with...
3. better opportunities including traveling programs, a wider array of extracurricular activities, and class options,
I'm sure I'd be better at these tests as well.
But as it is, many of our students sometimes can't afford money for food, much less the money for textbooks and uniforms that most student's families pay for at private schools...
Until our country takes steps towards leveling the playing fields in education, these tests are pathetically inaccurate attempts to further polarize blacks...an agenda that has been apart of Western history both unconsciously and explicitly since Europe's first dealings with Africa.

Good points. Everything he based his lazy opinion off (because it definitely is not a scientific fact) has already been thoroughly debunked. The problems of IQ testing, genetic notions of race (more a social construct than anything else), the development of intelligence, the bell curve (I read it from cover to cover and its quite bad) and a host of other attempted inferiority studies have pretty much taken constant fire in the peer reviewed community. To really believe him after doing some research, I think a person would either have to be very gullible or have a persistent bias already in place.
The Western world's model relies heavily on there being under developed portions at every scaled stage. Otherwise, they couldn't keep the machine well oiled.
