The police, according to their own documents, are supposed to _serve_ the people, not _rule_ the people. If we allow them to _rule_ over us, it is then that we give them the power to do whatever they feel they need to do.
The police in America are way, way, way out of control. If a black neighbor had a long history, going back years, of physically abusing you, and of disrespecting not only you but your son, father, uncle, and aunt, you would have no problem at all with treating him with hostility and resistance. As a matter of fact, you would consider it an act of cowardice to do otherwise. But, a man puts on a badge and all of a sudden you start thinking you are obligated to take his sh*t. That is the mentality of a slave.
The police have been beating up black people and shooting us down in the street like dogs for years. We owe them NO respect -- none at all.
