"Why is it that you.....yada, yada, yada."
Why is it that you appear to have "difficulty" in being able to, "agree to disagree?"
Sound familiar? Why are individuals here...or elsewhere relegated to the ranks of, "mentally dead" because their perception and truth's do not stand in solidarity with your views? Much of what I have observed and learned has been accomplished by merely listening to the soliloquies of others. I pay attention to their critical thinking skills, etc.--or lack thereof. And, as always, sooner or later when the conversation IS steered to one being "learned" in Black and global history (as well as others) therein lies the real story. But I digress...
"What an individual may "deem" as their absolutes? Other individuals do not have to support or or stand in solidarity with." And this, coupled with the "inference" of "emotionally charged" "expected" responses of posters here really leaves me suspect as to the true intent of informing and sharing information to the the members of this board? In truth, people can and have the right to adhere to their research, truth's and experience. So the statement of individuals being emotionally charged is moot in my opinion. Study, observation and critical analysis are but two of the MANY variables in how one reaches their own perception or analysis if you will, in relation to, self-actualizing, thus reaching the knowledge of self. The driving force of ANY country is CAPITALISM and RACISM followed by ethnocentrism. For history does illustrate that there has always been an under-class to serve those with wealth and/or power. For one would be a fool to expect that power is voluntarily relinquished.
This just in? If we look at each epoch of history in terms of progression? There has always been an underclass in the annals of history. Do the math. And yet, to state, "why can't we FORGET?" Interesting...Jew have not forgotten and yet America "assists" Jews in their NOT forgetting the Halocaust through reparations, etc. And yet the tragedies that my people were subjected to is trivialized? Imagine that! If you don't KNOW where you have been, can you say where you are going? And yes, history does repeat itself....Civil Rights are under attack, Affirmative Action has been dismantled (not that it benefitted blacks, that would be the white female and asian male)...reparations will end up on a ballot before it ever sees the light of day in the black diaspora. Please.
QUOTE: "With sweeping generalizations and equally boring "assumptions" and content, did you really expect to get that many responses?"
On point, Gorilla. On point. brotha. For I did not observe much in the manner of pro-active solutions or "bullets" so to speak, of a contrived agenda to enlighten, teach and otherwise HELP in moving the masses forth as well as changing the global enconomic picture. Fact: blacks are marginalized. Fact: Blacks are politically polarized. Fact, fact, FACT. What is this poster ACTIVELY doing in the face of this to help bring change to the plethora of problems that black people face?
